ABOUT
My name is Mark Woodcock, and I am a VFX Artist and 3D Generalist with a focus on lighting, texturing, and look development. I specialize in tools such as Substance Painter, Mari, Maya (Arnold), and Houdini (Mantra & Solaris/Karma).
In March 2024, I was featured on "The VFX Artists Podcast" and became the first artist spotlighted by "VFX Wires," a feature shared with their 15k+ followers.
With over a decade of industry experience, I’ve worked across Film, TV, and Commercials, taking on various tasks including modeling, texturing, lighting, and look development. My work across these disciplines is showcased in the reels at the bottom of the page.
In addition to my hands-on work, I’ve also taught and delivered talks at The National Film School, contributing to the “Digital Effects” master’s course and the “Certificate in Filmmaking” course.
My journey in 3D began in 2007 during a games development course in college, which led me to pursue a Visual Effects BA at the University of Hertfordshire. I graduated with a 2:1 in 2013.
